Challenges

Youth Together is a non profit organization in Oakland, California, that focuses on youth advocacy and justice . Youth Together first contact Jacker Digital when they noticed that their current website that was hosted on WordPress was down and facing many issues. Most of the issues were due to outdated plug-ins and complicated Wordpress admin specific problems.

In addition to getting the site “fixed” Youth Together was hoping to get a refresh to their site a website that serve multiple targets including both students, parents, and school staff. The main purpose of the website would be to attract students to the program and showcase relevant information and important dates. The Organization also has a new program offerings that they want to showcase and draw awareness to.

Solution

Jacker Digital worked with Youth Together to develop a site utilizing Squarespace . This new 12-page site allows them to showcase important information about their organization like their after-school programs and their food pantry. Now the both student and local community can have a place to access this information and communicate with the staff at the non-profit.

The site features separate locations for their individual program offerings. This will allow them to drive traffic from students to the appropriate places with direct links or QR codes in the future. The website also allows them to collect information on students who are interested in particular programs and to sign up to get valuable resources from the organization. For the first time, organization will also be able to donations from users who visit their website online.
